Question:

The Angel Capital Summit website says applications to present are due October 11. But I received a call for presenters from another organization that lists a different deadline. Which is correct?

Answer:

The Angel Capital Summit is a collaboration of the major organizations that serve entrepreneurs, in particular the investor partners listed on the Angel Capital Summit web site. The investor partners are each screening companies from their communities. In addition, the Angel Capital Summit is screening companies that apply independently of the investor partners.

What this means for you is this: if you're actively working with one of the investor partners, as a member or some other affiliation, you may apply through them, or you may apply directly to the Angel Capital Summit. Most companies will wish to have their application reviewed by the organization with which they are most closely affiliated.

The deadline for companies applying directly to the Angel Capital Summit is October 11. However, some of the investor partners have set their application deadlines a few days earlier. That's so that companies that are rejected by the investor partners can re-apply as part of the general Angel Capital Summit pool.

Either way, you apply through the Angel Capital Summit web site and indicate your investor partner affiliation on your application.
