'Angelo Investore' is in the H-HOUSE!!

Yesterday we turned on the Investor Profiling ap. One of the first investors to profile himself was 'Angelo Investore'. Angelo's a friend of mine, but I don't think that's his real name. Leastways, that's not generally what I call him. But if that's what he wants to be called in this online community of investors we're building, so be it. Who am I to argue? Generally, I'm OK with whatever people call me but 'late for dinner'.
So Angelo can edit & update his file at anytime, as can any other investor that builds a profile. Angelo profiled himself on the ACS site as he's confident that his identity is his to manage and that no one will have access to his contact information unless HE gives it to them. Call these 'confidentiality management' tools. We've all the conventional ones in place, and we're building more.
So what's in this for Angelo? Well, as a community contribution he'll be giving us Keywords to help build the 'lexicon of investing' for the ACS event. These are important as they'll help us understand better which businesses and industries we've investor support for - and those we don't.
Imagine that!
Much of this info will find it's way into the 'State of Entrepreneurship in Colorado' report that we're building from the data we've collected. (And we've a LOT of data!) This report will help everyone plan and manage their businesses and investments better, which is important.
However, the larger value to Angelo is probably personal. Post the ACS event we'll be asking the entrepreneurs who applied if they'd like their application info to be made available to the investors who have profiles in this database.
Step 1 for the entrepreneur will be to update their application info & enhance it in a couple of ways so as to present it better. That stuff's in development and will likely be released to all the entrepreneurs who applied to the ACS before the event.
Step 2 is to opt in. It's their information, so it's their choice.
For Angelo - and all the other investors who have profiled themselves - they can search this database by Keyword or they can use an 'agent' to alert them whenever a new file has been added to the database that has been tagged with the Keywords they used to describe their investment interests.
(Entrepreneurial Keywords! We've already got them all in the ACS Tag Cloud.)
And post the ACS event we'll be re-opening the application process with some of the enhancements intimated above for the use of new entrepreneurs.
Simple enough? Stay tuned! There's more!
Cheers,
Kevin
